CARAMELISED P E C A N SALAD


Ingredients. One side salad.

♥100g spinach

♥30g raw pecans

♥7 ml maple syrup

♥1/8 tsp smoky paprika

♥1/8 tsp sea salt

♥1/4 avocado, diced

♥1 tsp fresh orange zest

DRESSING

♥15ml olive oil

♥5ml dijon mustard

To do.

1. Warm a pan over high heat. When the pan is hot, add the pecans. Toast for 2 minutes, flipping halfway through. The pecans should warm up and lightly toast. When the two minutes is up, lower the heat to warm and add in the maple syrup, smoky paprika and sea salt. Toss well. Allow to sizzle in the pan for one more minute and then turn off heat. As the pecans cool, they will become sticky and "candied." Remove the pecans from the pan and set them aside in a bowl.

2. Make dressing by just mixing all ingredients!

3. Add all remaining ingredients to a bowl and toss with dressing!
